Expo F 2018 will build a house, in just 6 hours, using digital manufacturing
Expo F 2018, the International Trade Fair for Hardware & Tools that will take place from 20 to 22 September at ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama is exited to announce the DIY Workshop Print and Build a House.
On September 21st, within the framework of Expo F 2018, a real house will be printed and built in situ, in just 6 hours. The confirmed instructors of the Wikihouse workshop will be, founder of Fab Lab Panama and Ecoestudio and , founder and CEO of , a digital carpentry in Lima that was the winner of StartUp Peru 2ndGeneration.
Hotsko is an entrepreneur who has worked as an architect and designer of efficient buildings in India and Panama and aims to stimulate local entrepreneurship and innovation through the network of knowledge and ideas exchange Fab Lab, present in 30 countries. Vaneza Caycho is an architect and digital carpenter specialized in innovative furniture.
The instructors will use CNC technology through Shelter 2.0 platform, the technology that is revolutionizing construction and reinventing the way we make homes. Originally conceived for building transitional housing in emergency situations, this platform makes it easier to build a house and encourages innovation.
In addition to the workshop, Hotsko and Caycho will deliver the conference “Digital Manufacturing. Fab Lab Network”.
Expo F 2018 activities are free. During the three days of Expo F 2018, talks, workshops, the Expo F Annual Industry Forum and a match-making program are also scheduled.
