Plastic Pipe $268 million in Imports
Between January and September 2017, Central American countries imported $268 million worth of plastic pipe and accessories, 6% more than in the same period in 2016.
Variation of regional imports
Between the first nine months of 2016 and 2017 the import value of plastic pipes and accessories in Central America increased by 6%, rising from $253 million in 2016 to $268 million in 2017.
From January to September of the years between 2013 and 2017, regional purchases abroad increased to an annual average of 11%.
Imports by country
During the first nine months of last year, the main buyer of plastic pipes and accessories in Central America was Costa Rica, with $109 million, followed by Panama, with $51 million, Honduras, with $45 million, Guatemala, with $25 million, Nicaragua, with $21 million and El Salvador, with $16 million.
